Hoya 호야 is a former member of Infinite.
Hoya was born Lee Howon 이호원 on Thursday, March 28, 1991, in Busan.
He was born in the Chinese Year of the Ram and his zodiac star sign is Aries. He’s 178 cm or 5'10" tall. His blood type is AB.
He majored in applied music at Daekyeung University. His brother Hojae is two years older than he is, and his brother Hojun is five years younger than he is. His older sister’s name is Hyojin.
He was in “Reply 1997” (2012), “My Lovely Girl” (2014), “Mask” (2015), “Strong Family 2017” (2017), “Self Radiation Office” (2017), and Hiya (2016).
He dropped out of high school during his freshman year to learn how to sing and dance. His mother supported him and helped him to pursue his dreams, but his father was against it.
He collaborated with MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, Teen Top’s L.Joe, 2AM’s Jinwoon, and Beast’s Kikwang for a one-time special stage called Dynamic Black. He ripped his pants during Infinite’s first performance. He uses his free time to practice. He usually stays up practicing late, so he oversleeps a lot. When he meets someone for the first time, he feels like he’ll become closer to them if they call him “Hoya” instead of “Howon.” He was taught how to rap by Epik High’s Mithra Jin and Gonzo.
Hoya was a taekwondo athlete until middle school and received his third degree black belt. He stopped when he entered a tournament that was way over his level and he was hit a lot.
He likes KBS’s “Six Hour” because it reminds him of his grandparents. If he could experience any scene from any romance movie or drama, he’d want it to be the kiss in the rain scene from “Dear John.”
His favorite color is purple. For fun, he likes wakeboarding.
When asked how he acts when he’s in love, Hoya said, “I’m passionate. I’m a man like fire.”
