Nam Woohyun 남우현 is the lead vocal of Infinite.
Woohyun was born on Friday, February 8, 1991, in Chungcheongnam-do.
He was born in the Chinese Year of the Horse. He’s an Aquarius. He’s 176 cm or 5'9½" tall. Woohyun and Sungyeol’s blood type is B.
He studied at Dong Ah Institute of Media and Arts. He’s from Seoul. His older brother, Nam Boohyun, is two years older. When he first told his parents about his dream of becoming a singer, they weren’t happy. He worked very hard to show them his passion for his dream.
He participated in a special stage called Dramatic Blue with Teen Top’s Niel, MBLAQ’s G.O., 2AM’s Jokwon, and Beast’s Yoseob. He was in the 2012 drama “The Thousandth Man.” He starred in the 2014 drama “High School Love On” with Sungyeol. He was injured during filming for the “BTD” music video. Before debuting in Infinite, Woohyun was a model. He’d like to learn how to become a good variety show host from Yoo Jaesuk.
He’s a fan of Stevie Wonder. He auditioned by singing Stevie Wonder’s “Lately.” His favorite song is Kim Bumsoo’s “Oasis.”
He wanted to become a soccer player, but didn’t have the physical stamina. His favorite soccer player is Lee Donggook. He also likes tennis. He likes to cook. Before he goes to sleep, he texts his parents. His hobbies are weight training, skiing, and collecting make-up. He’s claustrophobic. He thinks that life is like a computer game.
Woohyun used to share a room in the dorm with Sunggyu and Sungyeol. He has the best imitation skills in Infinite. During their trainee days, he and Sunggyu didn’t get along. One of his favorite early Infinite songs is “Hysterie.” He chose Sunggyu as the member of Infinite who’d be the best at love and relationships, because he thinks that Sunggyu’s the bad boy type.
Infinite’s manager, Jung Ryoul, usually tells the members to do some fan service when they perform. In Woohyun’s case, he tells him to tone it down.
