Choi Siwon 최시원 is the visual of Super Junior.
Siwon was born on Monday, April 7, 1986, in Seoul.
Like fellow members Eunhyuk and Donghae, he was born in the Chinese Year of the Tiger. He’s an Aries. At a height of 185 cm or 6'1", he’s Super Junior’s tallest member. He’s taller than the two shortest members, Sungmin and Ryeowook, by 10 cm. His blood type is B.
Siwon majored in physical education at Inha University, where Leeteuk, Shindong, and Ryeowook also went. He also attended Gu Jeong High School. Siwon, Sungmin, and Donghae speak English. All of the members can speak some Mandarin. He’s a Protestant. He’s the only son of the owner of second biggest supermarket chain in Korea.
He was scouted by a talent agent in 2003 while he was outside of school with his friends. The agent told him to audition through the Starlight Casting System. A few months after auditioning for SM, Siwon began to take private lessons in singing, dancing, and acting. He plays the drums, piano, and guitar. He’s a member of the sub-unit Super Junior-M.
Siwon was in the 2011 drama “Poseidon.” His first major role was in the Hong Kong film A Battle of Wars. He also works as a model. He was featured on a Chinese postal stamp.
Once, during practice, Siwon accidentally broke Leeteuk’s nose.
Siwon is skilled at taekwondo and always takes time to work out. At one point, he said that he’d gained 20 kg (44 lbs) of muscle since debut. He loves espresso and waffles. His favorite movie is The Godfather. His favorite American celebrity is Al Pacino. Tony Bennet’s “The Way You Look Tonight” has been his favorite song for 15 years.
The one item most precious to Siwon is his Bible. Whenever he starts something new, he begins with a prayer.
He enlisted as a conscripted policeman on November 19, 2015.
