A.C.E. 에이스 is a male idol group formed by Beat Interactive. A.C.E. stands for "Adventure Calling Emotions." The group is composed of five members: Jun, Donghun, Wow, Jason and Chan. They debuted on May 23, 2017, with the single "Cactus."
The group opened their official YouTube channel on March 17, 2016, beginning by uploading their dance and vocal cover videos. They began busking with 2 additional members, Minwoo (Kim Hakjun) and Lyle (Han Jungmin), who both left the trainee group early in 2016. Jun performed in the musical Peste along with Boyfriend's Jeongmin. Prior to their debut, all 5 members of A.C.E were part of 1Million Dance Studio.
The group released their debut single, "Cactus," on May 23, 2017. The song shows A.C.E.'s "adventure concept" with an EDM sound. On the same day, the group held their debut stage on SBS MTV's "The Show." The single album debuted at number 24 on the Gaon Album Chart, and the song entered at number 62 on the Gaon Social Chart.
On September 18, 2017, Jun joined KBS's idol rebooting reality show, "The Unit." Chan was later announced to be joining him as well.
In October 11, A.C.E. announced their comeback with their second single track, "Callin'." The music video teaser for was released on October 17. The official music video was released on October 18 on their official YouTube channel and Sony Music Korea. They appeared on Mnet's "M Countdown" on October 19 and on KBS' "Music Bank" on October 20 for their comeback.
On November 5, Donghun, Jason, and Wow participated on the idol survival show "MIXNINE" and passed their auditions. YG praised their performances and abilities.
